A visiting US lecturer, Rev Deonne Mowry, has commended Ghana for adopting prudent economic policies and measures that had made positive impact on the lives of the people.
She said, she was encouraged by the successes chalked in areas of economic, social, cultural and politics for the past years.
Rev Mowry, Director of Leaning Partnership College of Adult and Graduate studies of Mid-America Christian University in Oklohoma City, said this at a party organized in her honour by the Swedru Central Assemblies of God Church at Agona Swedru.
She said Ghana stood tall in Sub-Sahara Africa in quality human rights, respect for rule of law and others, adding that, Ghana could do more to improve the socio-economic advancement of the people.
Rev Mowry, said her visit to Ghana was to collaborate with Hope for Human Foundation, a non-governmental organization (NGO) based at Agona Swedru, an affiliate of the Assemblies of God Church, to assist the members.
Rev Charles Arkoh-Nunoo, Pastor in charge of Agona Swedru Central Assemblies, said the church decided to fete children of the church and non members in five communities in the Agona West Municipality as part of its social responsibility.
Rev Arkoh-Nunoo said the visiting American lecturer was in the country to assist development in the areas of education and general welfare of the members in the Agona West, East and Gomoa East districts.**
