Miss Bianca Bempong, beat twelve other beautiful girls to annex 2008 Miss Ghana Canada beauty Pageant. The five judges had no other choice than to give the title to the 18-year-old, first Year Nursing Student at Ryerson University in Toronto, who walked away with a round trip Air ticket to Ghana and $1000 cash.
The position of the first runner up went to Miss Nana Yaa Pokuaah Yeboah who is a political Science graduate from the University of Toronto, she received $500 cash prize. The third position went to Miss Stephanie Owusu Ansah of Brampton, Ontario, who also received $250 cash prize. The well attended event was held at Femme Furlane banquet hall on August 23, 2008. at Woodbridge, Ont.
It was organized under a new management team: Miss Constance Aniwaah, Executive producer, Miss Bridged Bempong, Executive director and Mr. Prince Mensah Promotion Director, who are taking over from Mr. George Fynn, the President and owner of Miss Ghana Canada. Miss Ghana Canada was last held in 2004. The Event was sponsored mainly by Liberty Money Transfer. The MC’s Miss Cynthia Amoa and Mr. Bryan Abankwah. Music was provided by DJ shorty, King Supreme and DJ Traxx.
