Bodom (B/A), Sept 21, GNA - Five non-resident citizens of Bodom in Nkoranza district of Brong-Ahafo have donated assorted books valued at 12 million cedis and five computers to the Presbyterian Primary and Junior Secondary School in the town.

Mr John Nimoh, Mr Dapaah Marfo, Mr Anthony Boakye and Mr Abraham Kwabena Nyame, all based in London in the United Kingdom, donated the books whilst Tema-based Mr Prince Ofosu-Adjei gave out the computers. Mr. Ben Sackey, Headteacher of Kromo Presbyterian Primary 'B' School in Techiman, a citizen of the town, disclosed this to the Ghana News Agency on Wednesday.

Mr Sackey and Mr. Osei Bekoe, headmaster of the school in Bodom who received the items commended the donors for the gesture, and said it would greatly help to enhance education in the area. Mr. Bekoe said the offer was timely as basic schools were re-opening and expressed the hope that the students would make good use of the books and computers.

He expressed gratitude to Mr. Ofosu-Adjei and called on other citizens to emulate the donors and support the development of the community.
Meanwhile, Mr. Job Effah, a citizen of the town based in Italy has presented 3.5 million cedis to support on-going development projects in the area.
