All roads lead to the Jackson Park this weekend for the first of its kind birthday “bash” for Leo born Ghanaians in Chicago and its environs. This year’s summer “gigs” in Chicago ranged from cultural expositions, celebrations of life, weddings, graduations, outdoorings, birthdays and fundraisings. A few August day born Ghanaians have however planned a memorable BBQ on Saturday August 15 2009 at the Jackson Park , 63rd and Stony Island, Chicago, Illinois; to celebrate in together . The party starts from 2 P.M to 9:30 P.M.
The first of its kind get-together is being organized for all July and August born Ghanaians but the organizers have included all Ghanaians born in the summer months. The celebrants include names like “Mayor”, Mr. Boafo Papafio,Edward Alogas, Ms.Margaret Akua Siaw,Mrs. Ofori-Attah,Mrs. Ms.Vida Walker and Ms.Margaret Aryetey, just to mention a few.
The organizers have put in place plans to give variety of gift items to all July and August born celebrants. Food is free! Music will be provided by ace deejays in the community! Variety of games are planned to make the celebrations a very memorable one for all attendees. Come one come all and celebrate with your brothers and sisters!
