Fellow Ghanaians, as we celebrate this year’s Christmas holidays, we like to say thank you to all Ghanaians for the patience and hard work you have put in Ghana. As we are all Ghanaians first before we became NDC, or NPP, we see ourselves as one family.

Remember family is the basic bondage that ties all and such, only if the family values are given due importance, the nation as a whole can flourish. A nation is similar to a building consisting of thousands of bricks where each brick is a family. It is the responsibility of both the parents to value the sentiments of each member of the family. Upbringing of children is vital to bring a harmonious peaceful atmosphere and the experienced will agree that it is not an easy job.

Marilyn French says, “To nourish children and raise them against odds is, in any time, any place more valuable than to fix bolts in cars or doing nuclear weapons”. The family atmosphere must be made amicable to bring out every members ideas, wishes, thoughts and feelings openly. It is the first place where the children learn to abide by the rules, limit their wishes and consider the rights and needs of others. Hence family values are very crucial in a healthy family atmosphere.

We would like to remind all Ghanaians that HE. President John Dramani Mahama, HE Vice President Kwasi Amisah Athur and of course all Akatamanso members wants to strengthen you and tell you that, sometimes time is so slow and sometimes is so fast but one thing in life which is always true is that time teaches everything and we should try to learn from it. Let us give ourselves permission to fill the pain, anger, resentment, relax and then let it go because you all know time forces us to grow and to adopt. Let us not start the New Year with broken pieces of this year but remember every day is fresh start. Every day is a new beginning. Every morning we wake up is the first day of the rest of our life. Never stop believing in NDC because in HOPE miracles happen. There is President Mahama’s voice which doesn’t use words telling us to enjoy the little things NDC has given us in Ghana for one day we will look back and realized they were the big deal. On behalf of NDC family, NDC Atlanta wishes all Ghanaians Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
