A DRUG courier who tried to smuggle cocaine concealed in traditional African costumes has been jailed for five-and-a- half years.
Nana Owusu-Ansah, 62, was caught at Glasgow Airport with an estimated ?162,500 of the drug sewn into 13 African costumes after travelling in business class from Ghana.
He was caught on January 21 when customs officers stopped him and uncovered 13 bags of cocaine.
Yesterday, at the High Court in Glasgow, Owusu-Ansah admitted smuggling the drug and was jailed by judge Lord Kinclaven
