.... Held On Saturday July, 17th In Columbus, Ohio

The leadership and Members of NDC-USA herby collectively call on the leadership of the National Democratic Congress, Ghana to close their ranks and avoid resolving differences in opinion through the public mediums such as Television and Radio programmes; news paper and magazine articles. The NDC USA urges the party’s rank and file to desist from washing the party’s dirty linen in public and come together in the supreme interest of Ghana to support the Government’s execution of the Better Ghana Agenda.

The NDC- USA’s calls on the Council of Elders of the party, to work speedily and relentlessly to arrest the current perception of disunity and rancor among the party’s leadership. Confident in the knowledge that posterity will judge the National Democratic Congress harshly, if the current internal disagreements within the party is allowed to fester and work against the party’s fortunes in the general elections of 2012.The rank and file of the party is called on to close their ranks and work to continue the NDC party’s success both in government and during the elections in 2012. A House Divided Against Itself, Cannot Stand!

The NDC-USA reminds all well meaning Ghanaians, Party executives, and members of the negative impact wrought on our beloved country, as a result of the eight years of mismanagement by the Kufuor led NPP government. It is a fact that since assuming power, the depth of the mess left by the erstwhile NPP government has been a major challenge the Mills’ administration has grappled with in its efforts to fulfill its election promises of improving the lot of all Ghanaians. As government works diligently to bring economic growth and development to our beloved country, we entreat all NDC members and sympathizers to remain supportive of government’s efforts to bring hope and relief to all Ghanaians. Ghana cannot afford to have the NPP back at the helm of affairs to bring Ghana back to its knees.

Ghana has attained under President Mills an unprecedented level of macro-economic stability as seen in the current consistent day to day gains of the cedi against all the major currencies. We congratulate the NDC administration for the gains chalked so far. The NDC USA will continue to work with and encourage, the current NDC government to fulfill the agenda of A Better Ghana.
