The chairman and CEO of Abbeam Group Of Companies, Abbeam Ampomah Danso, feels vindicated when David Cameron and Pope Francis made separate statements on issues of corruption.
Speaking after he co-chaired a meeting of 10 leaders at the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting in Malta, the PM said corruption was a “cancer” at the heart of so many problems we face” and, therefore, charged Commonwealth countries to lead the fight against extremism, corruption and climate change.
Mr. Cameron, who had attended a meeting with the leaders of Botswana, Canada, Australia, Ghana, New Zealand, Trinidad and Tobago, Singapore and Malta in the London Summit, urged Commonwealth countries to lead the fight against corruption.
“Corruption wrecks economies, it prevents development, it corrodes our societies,” Mr.Cameran said.
“It can even foment terrorism as people give up hope in good and honest government. Pope Francis corruption warning in Kenya when he celebrated his first mass on African Soil last week also affirms his position that corruption must be stopped in all levels of Human life.
At every event, Kenyans have listened to the Pope speak about important subjects like radicalism of young people, tribalism, climate change and the most important of all, corruption. “Corruption is sweet, easy, and dangerous: Pope Francis. He has urged young people not to yield to the sweet lure of corruption and urged them to help those tempted by “Fanatical” ideologies.
Chairman and CEO of Abbeam Group of Companies, Ampomah Abbeam Danso has stated that many Ghanaians have failed the country in their dealings as leaders. He blamed opinion leaders in the country for pampering bribery and corruption in the country. According to him, we see corruption as a normal act in the country so we turn a blind eye to the unlawful act.
In a recent speech at the launch of “Time with Prof. Abbeam Education Tour”, the CEO of the Abbeam Group of Companies said the fraudulent conduct by those in power involving bribery has demoralized entrepreneurs.
“Most of us from head to toe are corrupt. We cannot grow a nation on corruption. Most men of God, fetish priests, Muslims, Ancestors and all have failed Ghana. It is in line with David Cameron's take on corruption at Commonwealth conference and Pope Francis' advice to African youth to desist from corruption that makes him feel vindicated and also associated himself with these statements made by the two world leaders on corruption.
Abbeam Ampomah Danso who is the chancellor of the Abbeam Institute of Technology and the senior pastor of God’s Solution Centre, believes corruption is a “path to death”.
