7 June 2012 -- The bodies of Kenneth Asante, 48, and his 46-year-old wife Naomi were discovered after police broke into the house on Loxwood Road just before 9.30pm on Monday, May 21.
Officers were responding to concerns from residents about the couple, who are believed to have lived in the street for about five years.
However, some close neighbours had no idea anything was wrong until officers arrived at the property and broke the door down.
The initial results from post-mortem examinations were inconclusive and police are now awaiting the results of toxicology reports.
But while it is unclear how Mr and Mrs Asante died, police – who were at the scene for about two days after the tragic discovery – are understood to be treating it as a domestic incident and are not believed to be looking for anyone else in connection with the deaths.
Flowers have been left on the doorstep in memory of the couple, who are understood to have two teenage children – a boy of university age and a girl of college age.
Mr and Mrs Asante were also listed as the directors of a hardware company, Rodavis Ltd, which was registered at their home address from 2005 until it was dissolved in April last year.
Mr Asante has been listed as the director of N & A Hardware Ltd since January this year.
Enquiries continue, headed by the Homicide and Serious Crime Command, based at Hendon.
The inquests into the couple’s deaths were opened last Monday at Barnet Coroner’s Court.
