Ghanaians in Philadelphia, PA are in a state of shock and mourning over the sudden death of Nana Kwabena Dwomoh, 48 years old, 6ft tall from Mmrom, near Ashtown, Kumasi in Ashanti Region. Sources familiar with the news disclosed to Ghanaweb that on Saturday; January, 14th, Nana Dwomoh had returned home from a grocery shopping. Later on as he stood in the kitchen preparing a meal, he suddenly collapsed. A called for emergency service via ambulance was made but when the emergency crew arrived, it was too late to save his life as his heart had already stopped and died on the spot. He was then rushed to Nazereth Hospital in North East Philadelphia, PA.

Nana Kwabena Dwomoh who had a great sense of humor was also down to earth, very helpful and pleasant. He had lived in Philadelphia nearly three years and recently moved to Stevens Street off the Roosevelt Blvd. He is the nephew of the popular Nana Kofi Twumasi of Brooklyn, New York, an OKESS alumnus.

Family and friends who cannot believe this sudden loss will meet and discuss the funeral arrangements on the 21st January exactly one week of his passing. He will be solely missed by the Ghanaian community in Philadelphia. GHP will keep you posted for further information so watch this space for more information.
