Recently, The Gyapong family of Lansdale, Philadelphia, the Ekoona Abusua of Akrokerri and friends/sympathizers gathered for the final/traditional funeral rites of the late; Nana Gyamirah II (a.k.a Eno Tawiah) Aged 75. Nana Gyamirah II's sudden death occurred at the Obuasi Government Hospital, Ghana on Tuesday, the 4th of April, 2006 and was buried afterwards.

The event occurred at the Church Hall of the United Ghana Community Church, 7501 Oak Lane Rd, Melrose Park, PA. It was a great occasion as many sympathizers came in their numbers to support the bereaved family. There was a customized T. shirts and handkerchiefs giveways in memory of Nana Gyamirah II, courtesy of the bereaved family.
