....In Ghanaian Politics

The International affairs director of gender and women and democracy of the the National Democratic Institute in Washington DC USA. Sandra Pepera has added her voice to Calls for a second look at the 'winner takes all' syndrome in Ghana

According to the gender activist It is therefore not surprising that in Ghana, what has become known as 'the winner takes all' politics is pervasive.Executive President still appoints 30 percent into the assemblies. We are therefore left with no option than to endure the painful practice where even board members of public institutions are appointed by the Executive President.

Speaking during a roundtable discussion on democracy and governance in Africa, Pepera explained that, she is worried about what will happen during and after the 2016 elections not necessarily because the outcome will mean a lot to Ghana .. the country of her birth..

The democracy and governance roundtable was organized by the ( CFA) Constituency For Africa.--and the national democratic institute endowment for democracy in Washington DC .

Speakers included Chris Fomunyoh, senior Associate and Regional director , central and west Africa,

Ambassador Johnnie Carson, senior advisor U.S Institute for Peace , NDI., Jennifer COOKE, Africa DIRECTOR FOR STRATEGIC AND INT studies .. and the president of the National endowment for democracy( NED).
