Ghanas Ambassador to Cote d Ivoire, H.E. Lt Gen. Peter Augustine Blay (Rtd) has call for persistent coporation on the part of all Africans that can be resolved through the adoption of strategic and innovative ways to deepen social and economic diplomacy within the various sub-regions.

"We need commitment and to be strategic and innovative in solving this challenge. There are certain challenges which have emerged daily during business interactions, let's see how best to resolve them," Ambassador , Lt .Gen Peter Blay( Rtd) said on the sidelines at the opening ceremony of the annual meeting of the Africa Development Bank currently going on in Abidjan .

He, therefore, charge all Africans to create the necessary structures for integration, indicating that the situation called for action and not for regional group to only spearhead the call for integration.

The conference, among other objectives, is aimed at fostering unity and cordial relations between african countries. It is also meant to further improve trade ties which underpin African countries' mutual effort to grow their economies.

Ambassador Blay encouraged African countries to educate their nationals on the various trade protocols, to enable them operate within the laws of member-states and help drive trade. He observed that If every body is willing to come on board, that is , both government and private sector , Africa will make much progress.

The 50th Annual Meetings for the African Development Bank and the 41stmeetings of its soft loan affiliate, the African Development Fund (ADF), is focusing on the theme "Africa and the New Global Landscape". The event, where key decisions about the Bank Group are made each year, is attended by Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors from the Bank's 54 regional member countries (RMCs) and 26 non-regional member countries, and attracts more than 2,500 delegates representing multilateral finance institutions, development agencies, the private sector, non-governmental organizations, civil society and the media. During the Annual Meetings, the Bank's 50thanniversary and the 50 years of the Bank's contribution to the development of Africa will also be marked, and a new AfDB President will be elected.
