Ghana Home Loans, Unity Link Financial Services And Others Sponsor Ghana Forum

Ghana Home Loans and Unity Link Financial Service among other Ghanaian businesses have sponsored a forum for Ghanaians to discuss pertinent issues affecting the Ghanaian community in the UK.

The forum, which was organised by the Ghana Union – UK, in conjunction with the Ghana High Commission in the UK, saw highly profiled figures from Ghana and the Commonwealth Secretariat in London addressing the gathering. There was a questions and answers section, which dealt with immigration, social, education customs duty, security among other issues.

Mr. Jesye Edwards told the gathering that since starting business in 2006, Ghana Home Loans has assisted hundreds of Ghanaians to realize their dream of homeownership. He said the Company has also provided many existing homeowners with Equity Release mortgages to support their businesses, pay educational fees, improve their properties, or simply pursue other personal hobbies and interests. “Through the Home Completion mortgage and Home Construction mortgage products, Ghana Home Loans has enabled many qualified applicants to complete or build dream homes on their own land across the country.” He added.

On his part the Marketing Manager of Unity Link Financial Services Mr. Kingsley Amfo-Gyamera noted that Unity Link has four branch offices around London and a further 100 agents up and down the UK.

He said the company can also accept payment instructions by telephone using their remote banking service known as PC Banking, a system he acknowledged has improved their services to the millions of clients their serve.

He gave the assurance that his company will continue to provide such sponsorship packages to the Ghanaian community as part of its social obligations.

Other sponsors included Omanye Group of Companies whose agent introduced the Omanye Energy Drink, and the Omanye, E-Payment Systems to the gathering.

A Deputy Minister for Interior, Mr, Koby Acheampong who addressed the gathering noted that the Government has the capacity to deal with the pace of armed robbery in the country and it is really on top of the challenge posed by the pace of armed robberies in the country.

He observed that the government can effectively deal with the situation “and we are dealing with it.”

He said many security strategies have been put in place while others are being hatched to help address the problem which is of a high security concern to the government.
