Ghana's Envoy to UK commends Ghana Tours

H.E.Mr. Isaac Osei, Ghana?s Envoy to the United Kingdom has praised Ghana Tours, a private company which operates air services between the U.K and Ghana for the efficient services so far rendered to Ghanaian and foreign nationals.

He said the company?s successful flights to Ghana for the past nine months was a clear manifestation of what the private sector could do within the context of favourable business environment.

Mr. Isaac Osei made these comments when a delegation of Ghana Tours, UK branch paid a courtesy call on him to brief him on the company?s activities.

He appealed to the company to continue to excel urging them to display a high degree of professionalism in order to retain the confidence of the travelling public.

Mr. Anthony Ogunseitan, Managing Director of the company led the firm?s delegation to the meeting which was attended by Mr. Kwabena Baah-Duodu, Deputy High Commissioner and senior officials of the Mission.

Other members of the delegation included Mr. Fergus Kumi, Manager, Ghana Tours, Mr. Ofori Amaning, Airport Manager and Ms Stella Tamakloe, Public Relations and Business Development Manager.

The Managing Director thanked the Ghana High Commissioner for receiving the delegation and praised the NPP government for creating the necessary enabling conducive environment which had enabled the company to organise regular flights within the framework of its operational mandate.

On behalf of the company, Mr. Ogunseitan presented a cheque for ?250.00 as its initial contribution to the Mission?s charitable project for 2004, the ?10 To-Save-A-Life Appeal Fund in support of the children block of the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital.

The company also presented two London-Accra-London air-tickets which were used by a delegation led by Ambassador John Fashunu who is currently in Ghana for a two-week tour to facilitate arrangements for the visit of Ex-England soccer professionals this year.
