Ghanaian Business woman wins top Dutch award

A Ghanaian enterpreneur in Amsterdam and a director of the first 24-hour child nursery WIPSA KIDS Ltd in Amsterdam-Zuidoost, Gifty Manukure is the first winner of the New Horizons Award.

These new price for successful nondutch entrepreneurs is an initiative of State Secretary Karien van Gennip of economic matter and MKB-Nederland-voorzitter Loek Hermans. Zevenkoppige a jury preferred Manukure because of its treatment, which is praised as ' very innovative and of large social value '. Thanks to 24-hour of the child nursery most working women can take their children to the centre whilst they attend to their demanding work without any worry .

The children at WIPSA KIDS come from all cultures, of which many speak none Dutch. The centre offers special programmes to get rid of that delay. Moreover Gifty Manukure is more widely socially active. She is President of the association ' Women in Positive Social action ', which uses herself for African women and young people. Also she presents a radio programme.

Manukure gave according to the jury contents to the term socially active programmes. The Second price went to Melek Usta, oprichter and director of the company Colourfull People. Usta look after recruitment and selection, posting and trainings for ' coloured brio ' with its company. Third laureate is Pawel Walentynowicz, owner of EstEnter, an office for trade conciliation between Dutch companies,Manukure has really made Ghanaians proud,she was also nominated for an award last year during the Black women in business award ceremony last year in Amsterdam.
