Ghanaian SDA Celebrates Music Day In London

Plans are afoot to develop the SDA Hospital at Kwadaso in Kumasi into a specialist eye centre to serve the northern part of the country.

Initially, it was planned to develop the 10 year old hospital into heart hospital has been thwarted due to its heavy capital intensiveness.

The President of the Ghana Central Ghana Conference of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, Pastor A.P. Mensah told members of the London Ghana SDA Church at a ceremony in London over the week-end.

The occasion was the second annual music day of the church. The event is held annually to raise the awareness among the people, the role of music in the spiritual well being as well as healing of the human race.

He observed that the SDA church believes in the holistic development of all human faculties through prayer, music and the word of God.

The programme was organised by the Music department of the London Ghana SDA Church. It was aimed at bringing many Ghanaians together to praise God and to share the joy in gospel music.

Over ten Ghanaian singing groups from various parts of the UK participated in the programme. It also attracted over 600 people from all over the UK.
