Ghanaians Demonstrating in London in Support of Justice

Fri, 16 Aug 2013 Source: Adofo, Rockson

? Final reminder to Ghanaians in the UK, especially London, to make it a date to participate in the gargantuan but peaceful demonstration coming up tomorrow, Friday 16 August 2013. It will be held by the front entrance to 10 Downing Street, the office and residence of the British Prime Minister from 09:30 onwards. ? ? It will be a perfect opportunity for us to interact and make friends. However, the main objective is to show unflinching support for the Supreme Court to strengthen their resolve to determine the Election 2012 case without fear, favour or intimidation. ? ? The demonstration is themed, "Justice for Peace". As better explained by one "Osofo" Ababio resident in London, "Justice is the wife of Freedom and their child is Peace". He simply means to tell that there should first be Freedom (the husband), then Justice(the wife) and finally Peace(the child) in that sequence. Is Ghana’s motto not "Freedom and Justice" but not "Freedom and Peace?" Simply put, buy Justice and you will have Peace for free in what Tesco’s Stores will say, "Buy one Get one free".

Seize this opportunity to be of memorable service to your country Ghana. For the people that you will meet, see and socialise with on that day, you may see them in London no more. Some of us will relocate to Ghana to help build Ghana once justice prevails as yearned for. Better still, we may all move to Ghana as one people with a common destiny to help build the one nation we shall all be proud of. Will it not be nice meeting familiar faces in Ghana? Do not miss out on this unique opportunity. ? ? If the back of your teeth is bitter, it is there that you lick. Therefore, come to show solidarity with the organisers of the demo. ? ? You will have the chance of meeting people like Roy Antwi, Maa Akosua, Kwame Owusu Ansah aka Obuggie, Lawyer Adreba Damoah, an organiser, Sly (the radio phone-in serial caller), Nana Oboshie Tatram, Chairman Atta Krufi, Nana Yaw Sarpong, Nana Peter Antwi Boasiako, and of course, Abaawa and her succulent damsels. Nimoako will be joining us from Reading, UK.

? To stress on the need for, and the importance of, your presence, I shall quote my two most preferable quotes which are self-explanatory. ? ? Emperor Haile Selassie of Ethiopia said, "Throughout history, it has been the inaction of those who could have acted; the indifference of those who should have known better; the silence of the voice of justice when it mattered most; that has made it possible for evil to triumph" and "In the beginning of a change the patriot is a scarce man, and brave, and hated and scorned. When his course succeeds, the timid join him, for then it costs nothing to be a patriot"------Mark Twain. ? ? Do you want to feel guilty-minded not turning up to remonstrate your love for Ghana and care for the Supreme Court judges who are currently at the cross-roads as to whether saving Ghana or letting her sink? Their ability to deliver true justice saves Ghana but their inability to deliver justice but rather chase peace, the son of justice, sinks Ghana. ? ? Kofi Basoah the dreamer, to whom God reveals secrets about Election 2012 has dreamt again. You can read it on Modernghana and SpyGhana as we speak but will get it on Ghanaweb any day from tomorrow, Friday 16 August 2013. ? ? Nana Sarkodie Ababio, popularly called DJ Source of Source radio UK FM 96.3, WBLS and Kuuku Spencer of Naspa radios will be in attendance to grace the occasion with live coverage. There will be a brass band so be ready to dance. You will encounter old man Rockson Adofo dancing stylishly to the "Azonto" jingles. Do have stomach to laugh as you will have a real laugh when Rockson dances to the tunes played by Sarkodie, the originator of "Azonto" music and dance. ? ? COME ONE. COME ALL!
