Ghanaians In UK Support Cancer Patient

SPACE FM/GRAPHIC APPEAL YIELD DIVIDEND
Five benevolent Ghanaians living in the United Kingdom have supported Master Thomas Anthony, who has developed cancer in the left eye, with an amount of 380 British Pounds an equivalent of ?6,055,000,(six million fifty-five thousand cedis).

Their action was motivated by an appeal for financial support launched on the web-site of Sunyani based radio station, SPACE 87.7 FM in aid of little Thomas.

The money which was presented on behalf of the donors, by a Director of Space Fm, Mr. Ransford Antwi through the Brong Ahafo regional office of the Daily Graphic, will go to procure special drugs, support surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy as well.
Aiding Thomas, who is orphan, is currently being catered for solely by his 18 year-old sister and the group have asked for the contacts of the family of Master Anthony so as to monitor his progress and for further assistance.
The plight of Thomas was first highlighted by the Daily Graphic with the call for financial assistance of six million cedis to pay for medical treatment.

The benevolents contributed various sums as follows,

  • Mr. Oppong Kyeremeh, Nsoatre ?100
  • Mr Alex Amankwah, Sunyani ?30
  • Mr Kofi Amoah, Madina-Accra ?50
  • Mr Kobbina Kyerede Odum, Effiakuma-Takoradi ?100.
