Hawa Yakubu -First Female President?

Wed, 4 Apr 2007 Source: Kwame (Appiah) Boateng

THE LATE HAWA YAKUBU (COULD) HAVE EMERGED AS GHANA'S "FIRST WOMAN PRESIDENT !!!, SAY'S FORMER GHANAIAN-AMERICAN "MAYOR" - (IN A SPECIAL TRIBUTE !!!)

The late Hon. Hawa Yakubu (could) have emerged as the "First Female President of Ghana", say's former Ghanaian-American Los Angeles Mayoral Candidate and 2004 CPP Parliamentary Candidate for Nhyiaeso Constituency in Kumasi, Ashanti Region, "Osagyefo" Kwame (Appiah) Boateng, formerly known as "Kwame Mayor", and the Politician who has publicly declared his intention to appoint the first Female Vice President in Ghana should he become President of Ghana someday (through the Ballot Box) compared the late "Ghana's Iron Lady" to such Women Freedom Fighters and legendaries as Winnie Mandela, Joan of Arc and Queen Warrior Yaa Asantewaa.

" Ghana has missed one of her greatest chances of having a well qualified female President in the calibre of the late Hawa Yakubu and former Ghanaian-American Los Angeles Mayoral Candidate", said "Osagyefo" who is currently visiting the United States and empowering a "Coalition of Africans" in the U.S. to become a Political and Democratic force to reckon with in the near future !!!.

"Hawa was a classic "Perfect Human Being" who strongly believed in herself and did [not] stoop low to employing the tactics of Tribalism; Ethnic Jealousy or "Self-Hatred", said the Politician.

"Hon. Hawa Yakubu taught all of us a lesson that whereas we cannot change what other individuals or group of people feel about themselves, every human being has the capability to change what they feel about themselves and that there is [no] race or tribe on Earth that is better than any other race or tribe, and that all men and women were created equal !!!", said the Politician who is known to tell the truth as it is, and nothing but the truth !!!.

" Hawa Yakubu, like "Afro" Gbedemah saw no need to resort to unneccessary hatred or tribalism since they strongly believed in themselves, and how they worked [amicably] with members of other Ethnic groups or Tribes speaks for itself !!!, said the Pan-Africanist member of the CPP who has implored on Ghanaian Politicians to live by the shiny examples of mustering "SELF CONFIDENCE" which the late Hawa Yakubu and "Afro Gbedemah" manefested while on Earth and how they did not see members of other Ethnic groups or Tribes as "[enemies]", but as "Fellow African and Ghanaian Brothers and Sisters !!!".

" Today, a few Politicians have tried to divide the "Good Old Days" under Ghana's first President, Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah when a Person was measured not by his or Ethnic or Tribal affiliation, but by the content of his or her charactor, as Dr. Martin Luther King Jr, taught us !!!.

IN ANOTHER DEVELOPMENT, the Leader of the "Ghanaians Abroad Coalition", "Osagyefo" Kwame (Appiah) Boateng has issued a Press Statement on behalf of the Coalition on the deaths of Hon. Hawa Yakubu and the Chief Justice, George Kingsley Aquah.

The Press Release reads as follows :

"On behalf of the ["Ghanaians Abroad Coalition"], I wish to express my condolence to the bereaved family of the late Hon. Hawa Yakubu; Bawku Constituents, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) of which the Hon. Hawa Yakubu was a powerful figure and Ghanaians in general who have not only lost an independent minded and principled true Human Being, but a Woman of the same courage and fearlessness like the legendaries Joan of Arc; Queen Warrior, Nana Yaa Asantewaa, and Winnie Mandela.

Hon. Hawa Yakubu met the ["measurement of intellectualism"] by her independent thinking and as usual, those always afraid of "Independent Thinking" which is the ultimate height of Human's Academic Freedom and Liberation, could not work with her.

Hypocritically, the [few] who lack such higher standard of "Intellectual Freedom" detested Hawa Yakubu's uniqueness and could not amicably work with her. Yet in death, the same hypocritical [few] are voicing praise for her "Independent Thinking" and sadly, in death, Hawa's detractors now treasure the qualities of the Power of "Independent Thinking" !!!

Isn't the same qualities of ("Independent Thinking") of which the guru of strategic ideas, "Osagyefo" Kwame (Appiah) Boateng has been cruxified for by a [few] in the ruling government ? - the same ruling government headed by His Excellency, President John Agyekum Kuffuor who nevertheless has consistently exploited the "fruits of ideas" of "Kwame Mayor's" trademark of "Independent Thinking" and un-compromising Principles.

A Statute erected in Memory of Hon. Hawa Yakubu and a School, named after this "Political Warrior" could remind future generations, especilly our African Women, that they too can make a difference to society in the political arena !!!.

"Ghanaians Abroad Coalition" also would like to express condolence to the bereaved family of our late Chief Justice George Kingsley Acquah, who will forever be remembered for his positive contributions to the Judiciary and to Ghana's democratic process.

May the name of the Chief Justice and the name of Hon. Hawa Yakubu be interred in Ghana and Africa's "Hall of Patriots !!!"

MAY THE SOULS OF HON. HAWA YAKUBU AND CHIEF JUSTICE GEORGE KINGSLEY AQUAH REST IN PERFECT PEACE !!!"
