NDC Atlanta hosted Hon. Gershon Gbediame, MP for Nkwanta South in Lithia Springs Georgia, on Saturday, April 13, 2013; during which issues pertaining to the growth of NDC and for that matter Ghana were discussed.

Hon. Gbediame who is the Chief Patron of the Chapter was on his way back to Ghana, after an official Parliamentary duty trip to Ecuador. Members of the Chapter were very proud of this illustrious son of Ghana, who always makes sure he meets the Chapter members and some other Ghanaians anytime he is on a visit to Atlanta. This they believed is worthy of emulation.

He assured the teaming members that, President Mahama led administration is a focused one, and will definitely lead Ghana to the promise land by achieving all the pro-poor programs as enshrined in the better Ghana manifesto of the NDC.

On the challenge of the Presidential elections results by the NPP currently before the Supreme Court of Ghana, he made it crystal clear that the results of both the Parliamentary and Presidential elections were the true reflection of the will of the people of Ghana. He found it intriguing the logic of NPP acceptance of being soundly trashed in the Parliamentary elections but contesting the Presidential one; as a sign of desperation by the NPP and the lack of boldness on the part of Akufo Addo and his campaign team to tell their supporters the bitter truth that they lost the elections and indeed President Mahama is the choice of the people.

Of great importance during the meeting was the level of intelligence and experience demonstrated by members of the Chapter through solid and viable suggestions, offered Hon. Gbediame to pass on to the Presidency so as to help continue and cement the pro-poor programs and tenets of the NDC. Hon. Gbediame was so impressed about the suggestions offered and therefore minces no words in stating his believe and wish for successive governments to tap into the rich Ghanaians in the Diaspora experience.

The visiting MP used the opportunity to call on all Ghanaians to be patience with the President, for he will surely deliver all his promises.
