Ghanaians from far & near visited a 2-day housing fair held in Amsterdam, The Netherlands last weekend. Real Estate developers from Ghana provided very valuable information to both prospective homeowners and information seekers.
The event was graced with the presence of Ghana?s ambassador to The Netherlands, Grace Amponsah Ababio who urged Ghanaians to make use of such an invaluable project.
Mr. Luke Breni, a resident in Belgium who had traveled to Amsterdam was very thankful to this fair as he had planned to travel to Ghana this summer just for the same information. ?Man, I just saved money for my ticket and expenses to get the information I wanted? he remarked. ?I have attempted on 3 occasions to buy a land in Ghana and its all surrounded with litigations, I trust that this one is the best for me.?
Mrs. Doris van Hooven, a Ghanaian married to a Dutch national happily told Sankofa TV that they have now decided to buy a house in Ghana. ?My husband did not like the idea of using a family member of mine to build the house, we always argued on this issue. This fair has provided us good opportunities to examine proposals from the numerous exhibitors, I am even surprised at the low price levels and high building guarantees.? She said.
The fair moves to Hamburg, Germany this Friday & Saturday (24th & 25th June 2005) at Gul Event House, Am Verinshof 23, Hamburg Wilhelmburg. Tel: 0049 151 124 50 202
It is expected that Ghanaians in Germany will also patronize and benefit as their counterparts in Holland did.
