I Will Be A Candidate In The Regional Congress-Alhassan Myson

A UK based financial management practitioner and a lecturer at the Greenwich London College has stated that, it was about time for him to bring his rich, wide, and diverse financial experience both locally and internationally to bear on the fortunes of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Northern Region for which reason he will be contesting the Regional treasurership of the party. In a statement to the press Mr Myson explained that “the NPP more than ever before needed the hands of all on deck to help bring it back to power for which reason he will join in the management of the party in the region in the position of treasurer.

He explained that, his intention to contest for the position of the treasurership was borne out of the fact that money was a big issue in the last elections and thought there was the need for the NPP to have somebody as a treasurer who can bring about open, transparent, and prudent management of the finances of the party in the region.

Mr Myson bemoaned the situation where the office of the regional treasurer was dormant before, during, and even after the elections of 2008. The one time treasurer of the Students Representative Council of the Tamale Polytechnic and also national treasurer of the Gonjaland youth Association was also an assistant accountant of the university for development studies in Tamale from 1998-2002 and sees all these as enough experience to manage the finances of the party in the region effectively if elected.

In another development an NPP youth group in Tamale call “The Agenda for Change” have lauded the intention of Mr Myson to contest as the Regional Treasurer of the NPP saying “not only will his wealth of financial experience be of immersed help to the party, but also his humility, simplicity, and enthusiasm as a youth will also help attract more youth into the party and strengthen it as well.
