Independent Peoples Party Presidential candidate Kofi Akpaloo was well received in the big apple, New York City in the Bronx by a group of young energetic Ghanaians led by Nana Atakora Amaniapong.(Mmrantee Hene of New York) “I have come here to seek your support for a new beginning in our beloved country” he said.
The presidential candidate made a frank appeal for a new dawn of leadership in Ghanaian politics led by the young generation. Akpaloo acknowledged that, certainly words alone will not bring change in Ghana but the support of all Ghanaians both home and abroad.
Akpaloo said we the young generation, have acknowledged the country's past mistakes and the time is now to set a new agenda for the future of Ghana’s development powered by technology. He further stated that, recognizing and identifying common problems facing our beloved country is just the beginning of new change that is about to take place in Ghana.
The group pledged their support for his candidature, his party and promise to attend the upcoming fundraiser in New York. He is scheduled to attend another fundraiser in Atlanta, Georgia on Saturday April 16th at the beautiful Sheraton Gateway Hotel located at: 1900 Sullivan Road College Park, GA 30337 and Massachusetts the week after that.
