NDC Diasporians would like to urge His Excellency President John Dramani Mahama to include in his State of the Nation address this coming Thursday 21 st Feb 2013, a complete “SNAP-SHOT” of the realistic State of the Nation for Ghanaians by and large to understand what we are up to as a Nation, and how the enemies of progress are hampering development. Speaking in Amsterdam, the Interim Executives of the NDC Amsterdam branch highlighted the fact that accountability and the lack of it , is what gives birth to corruption, and since the NDC governing administration under the leadership of His Excellency President John D. Mahama is determined to arrest the practice of administrative-corruption which has cost the Nation millions in the past , it is only proper for the Office of the President in its State of the Nation address to give the people of Ghana a true Snap-Shot of the state of our Economy and its Developmental path under his leadership.****

NDC Amsterdam branch in throwing its support behind the pro-active approach taken by President Mahama, urged the President to look at the key sectors that drive our Economy as a Nation, and give us (Ghanaians) the much needed information that would enable the average Ghanaian listening, to identify with the efforts being taken by the government to eradicate Corruption , Poverty, illiteracy, etc and the enhancement of sectors such as Health , Education, Energy, Road infra-structure, Agriculture etc . ****

The Snap-shot must include data on all our Export capabilities, such as how many tons of Cocoa , Aluminium, Gold, Oil etc ( our raw materials ) were exported, its gross or net worth in Dollars or Cedis, as well as what the government imported and its gross or net worth etc to give Ghanaians a sense of what is actually happening in the country we all call home. This the group said, would bring us all back to the basics of accountability through transparent democratic practices. Research shows that many Ghanaians are in the dark with regards to all these relevant data (information), and therefore are quick to believe many of the lies that some political parties tend to purport against the ruling Government on the Radio. Government owes it to the people of Ghana by educating and informing us all with the figures that run our economy and ultimately shapes our lives.****

Interim Executives of the NDC Amsterdam branch, along with its members and Ghanaians in the diaspora , wishes to take this opportunity to condemn the NPP for declaring a boycott of the State of the Nation address on Thursday 21st Feb 2013 by the President of Ghana His Excellency John Dramani Mahama. Ghanaians are indeed getting tired of these tactics by the NPP in their bid to certify the NPP Party as a party of ENEMIES OF PROGRESS when it comes to our socio-economic development as a nation. NPP party executives must realize that from the grassroots levels, they are making themselves less and less attractive to Ghanaians if all they can do is tagged the name of NPP to anything and everything aimed at disrupting the baby-steps that our democracy is taking to make Ghana secure and safe. Ghana is for all Ghanaians, and working together as a Team is what matters, NDC and NPP need not be bed-fellows but when it comes to matters that enhance development the two major parties must come together with all the other parties and plug into the Ghana First Frequency, where petty differences have no place, but instead a collective and pro-active approach is taken to benefit all Ghanaians.****
