President Mahama and the NDC Party on the occasion of the Supreme Court’s
affirmation of the party’s victory during the presidential elections of December
2012.Words cannot express the depth of the pride in our hearts for the
dignified posture our President has maintained in the face of challenges to the
validity of the elections which the NDC won handily in 2012. We continue to
draw inspiration from the President’s humility, patience and dedication to
work for a better Ghana.
Events leading to the Supreme Court verdict has reaffirmed our belief
that, it is only God who appoints and makes leaders such as President Mahama.
The NDC Dallas branch also commends Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo for
honoring his promise to not make statements which have the possibility of
raising tensions in the country and for accepting the Supreme Court verdict.
Speaking to a cross-section of members and executives of the NDC Dallas,
Mrs. Janet Wilson, Chairperson of the Dallas- Texas branch underscored the
important role the security services under President Mahama’s leadership
played to achieve the peace and quiet which accompanied the Supreme Court’s
verdict. She stated that, “once again, our institutions has been tried and
tested. As the commander in chief of the Ghana Armed Forces, we believe that
President Mahama will continue to work hard to implement national policies
that will continue to build a strong National Security apparatus, an
independent Judiciary, an effective legislature, an independent Electoral
Commission which is well equipped to successful organize free, fair and transparent
elections.
NDC Dallas Texas reminds fellow party members that the battle for 2016 has
already begun and it’s not the Lord’s, it’s ours (all NDC members),
because God is not a registered voter. We therefore call on all to start the hard
work which will help NDC retain power in 2016.

hard to overcome obstacles which stifle growth of Ghana’s economy, we wish
the President team all the necessary luck in achieving the campaign
promises of building a better Ghana. A great deal of euphoria and energy awaits
your 2016 campaign should we succeed in this quest.
