NDC Germany condemns Nana Akuffo Addo’s Divide and Rule tactical Message
The Institute of Economic Affairs (IEA) on the 21st of August 2012, organized presidential debate at which Nana Akuffo Addo – opposition NPP Flagbearer, delivered his speech to unveil and detail means of introducing free education to the people of Ghana.
To cap off his speech, he promised to strengthen and promote peace and stability.
Here I quote “My party and I are totally devoted to Ghana's peace and stability, as we have always been. We, famously, demonstrated this in 2008 when, despite the narrowest of losing margins, we did nothing to jeopardize the stability of the nation and lived up to my pledge of not allowing a single drop of Ghanaian blood to be shed. “
Based on these assertions, the NDC Germany communication Directorate has issued a statement to debunk Nana Addo’s exaggerated statements and swiftly described him (Nana) to have played absolutely political divide and rule games.
The statement added that, Ghanaian electorates are politically matured and discerning. “Those colonial-Gold Coast days are over when double barrel shotgun toys were placed at the prison door steps to frighten fugitives. Today, we’re in modern democratic Ghana, where computer recording gadgets are available to keep data information.”
Ghanaians could not have forgotten so soon during frustrating era when Nana Addo publicly campaigned “all die be die” message to bring tension and chaos to our dear lovely nation, Ghana. Here I quote: "They have made up their minds that they are going to intimidate us in 2012. 'I sometimes explain this as they claim that we Akans are cowards. They argue that if one is able to wound one or two of us, then all the rest of us remaining take to our heels! Is that so? Well, We shall see! Atiwa for example, was a little illustration of this. During the by-elections at Atiwa we did "something small" that showed a little bit of this. And so we have to understand that this party was formed by brave men. Our elders, who formed this party which is now the biggest political party in Ghana, were not people who were hiding under beds! The courage that is needed now to face the 2012 elections is 'All die be die!
All available attempts employed to persuade Nana Addo to retract his decisions were proved futile. Today, Nana stood to preach and yawning for peace? Or is Nana asking for a compromise agreement?
Nana had never stood at any platform to render any unqualified apologies to the good people of Ghana after having watched and listened to his own MP- Hon. Ken Agyapong to have supposedly acclaimed himself “commander -in-chief” to declared war to our peaceful Ghana.
Here I quote” “Today, I declare war in this country, Gbevlo-Lartey and his people, IGP should know this. Voltarians in the Ashanti Region will not be spared. If anyone touches you, butcher him with a cutlass…”NPP King-Kong and “warlord” Agyapong commanded.
The NDC Germany communication Directors (Chris Mensah and Karim Able) kept reminding Ghanaians to recollect and re-examine all those diabolic utterances of these great political figures as the count days to general elections are getting closer. An adage in “Akan” language stipulates that “aboa no nnka wo a,,,,,” meaning, a snake will not expose the teeth if it will not bite you”.
Speaking in an interview with the Ghana-waves Radio program in Bremen, Germany last Wednesday, Karim Abilla minced no words in challenging NPP’presidential candidate – Nana Akuffo Addo , “if I were given the opportunity to rate Nana in terms of merit as per the IEA interview, I shall not hesitate to offer him (Nana Addo) not more than 25%”. Because all his messages were nothing but political talks” Karim remarked.
To wrap up the story, the NDC Germany wishes to send signals and special appeal to all members and sympathizers both home and abroad to whole-heartedly welcome, embrace and rally behind President John Dramani Mahama to win the seat come December 7.
