NPP BELGIUM INAUGURATION AND APPEAL FOR FUNDS

The New Patriotic Party NPP has inaugurated its new branch in Belgium. The occasion was with the theme FREE SHS EDUCATION A SURE POSSIBILITY AND YES WE CAN. The ceremony which was attended by Ghanaians and many foreigners in the diaspora is the first political party from Ghana to be inaugurated in Belgium. The NPP supporters and the Ghanaian public in Belgium expressed extreme enthusiasm and momentum and offered thanksgiving unto God at the ceremony for the inception. The chairman of the occasion King Solomon [AFRO SHOP - ANTWERP ] thanked Nana Agyare Kodie the elected Chairman and the Executives of NPP Belgium for their tirelessness and hard work and other contributions to establish NPP branch in Belgium and pledged his support to ensure that the Belgium branch grows stronger and also assured all the supporters that NPP is on the wings to victory in December 2012.

Samuel Awuku NPP Deputy Communications Director – Ghana, who was also the special guest of the occasion reiterated the poor state of the Ghanaian economy and the living conditions of Ghanaians under the NDC government as unacceptable and called for positive change. He said change is the only outcry of the ordinary Ghanaian to deliver the nation from further decline. Mr Awuku said Ghanaians are fed up with the massive corruption and the deception from the NDC leaders and cannot afford to let NDC rule the nation any longer. He therefore, advised all the supporters and their families back home to intensify the campaign for the change to happen and vote Nana Akufo Addo to power come December 7th to present and regulate a better vision in order to pursue to the destiny of the country. Mr Awuku revealed that Nana Akuffo Addo is the right man to lead Ghana and that Nana is on a mission with a vision and to also ensure accountability, fairness, equal participation in decision making and good governance to move the country forward and therefore needs everyone’s vote to ensure that his dream comes to fruition.

Also among the special delegates and invitees were Mr Hopeson Adorye member of NPP communication team Ghana; Mr Kobi Annan former NPP chairman for Amsterdam; Mr Boamah GHANABA president Belgium, the Chiefs of the various Ghanaian traditional leaders in Belgium; NPP the Hague (Netherlands); NPP Amsterdam (Netherlands); NPP Strasbourg (France). Mr Hopeson Adorye also added that NPP will win the coming elections without a run-off and also assured the people of peaceful and transparent elections with the optimism of NPP’s victory but called on all the supporters to team up and be united throughout the campaign time and fight to the end. He further mentioned that the NDC has run out of ideas and entreated all Ghanaians who care for the future development of Ghana to rise up and help change the cause of the poor performance, corruption, opulence and the institutionalisation of violence in the nation by the NDC. Mr Hopeson also reminded the people that Nana Akuffo Addo’s promise to deliver free SHS is a sure promise and he will keep to his words when voted to power. The Chairman of NPP Belgium Nana Agyare Kodie advised all NPP members in Belgium and around Europe and all in the diaspora to encourage their families and loves in Ghana to vote wisely for the NPP to replace the mess of the Mahama-Amissah administration to allow the NPP and Nana Akuffo Addo to take the country forward. He stressed that the NPP Belgium will offer all the necessary support to ensure that the NPP regains power in the December polls and also advised the executives and all the supporters to unite and work hard to achieve the ultimate come December 7th 2012 . He said the NPP has the track record of achievements and the numerous social interventions that was implemented during the Kuffuor admnistration to buttress their argument of a Free S.H.S. education .

The Chairman also stated in his address to a rousing applause from a charged audience, the hypocrisy of the president of the Republic of Ghana, Mr. John Dramani Mahama who benifited from such a policy of Free Education in the north , the decency, the morality and the audacity to criticize and deny the good people of Ghana of such a gangantuan and unprecedented vision by Nana Addo . During the ceremony; the newly elected executives of the Belgium branch were sworn in and were presented to the members. The various offices were established according to the laid down procedure by the NPP constitution. Among the positions identified during the inauguration was as follows; Chairman - Nana Agyare Kodie, First Vice Chairman – Paul Osei Tutu, Second Vice Chairman – Anthony Nana Ansu, Secretary - Bernard Asamoah Anochie . Deputy Secretary – Yaw Osei Akoto, Treasurer –Mr Edward Asuming , Financial Secretary – Mr.Anthony Owusu ,1st Deputy Financial Secretary Isaac Yeboah Assiamah,2nd Deputy Financial Secretary Kwaku Danquah , Communication Officer–William Frimpong, Deputy Communication Officer-Elvis Frimpong, National Organizer-Nana Badu {Barfour}, 1st Deputy National Organizer - George Sarfo, 2nd Deputy National Organizer Frank Agyeman, National Youth Organizer Joseph Kwame Safo-Adu , Deputy National Youth Organizer Abeku Baiden Benjamin, National Women Organizer Akosua Nyamekye, Deputy National Women Organizer Akosua Nyame, Research officer -Mr. Oduro{Ranking Member}, Council of elders - Mr.Isaac K. Boateng, Mr. George Brobbey , Mr. Ernest Awuah, Mr.Kingsley Agyemang .Porter- Mr. Agyei Nkansah . APPEAL FOR FUNDS AND SUPPORT In the end the branch raised funds and presented other donations such as mobile phones, t-shirts and emblems of the party to help support the party’s operations towards the December polls. The items were donated during the ceremony in Ghent. The donations were aimed to foster a strategic direction to support and augment the Party's come back strategy in 2012. Mr Samuel Awuku and the other delegates thanked the executives and the supporters for their immense contribution and assured them that their valuable contributions will be channelled prudently to achieve the purpose.
