The Canada Branch of the NPP has demonstrated its clear intentions to ensure a massive win come the 2016 elections. As a result, about a week ago, the Branch held meetings with Nana Akufo-Addo and other Party Leaders and donated a number of megaphones, to help kick off the 2016 Campaign.

For the first time since Nana Akufo-Addo was emphatically re-elected as the NPP Flagbearer, the Branch dispatched a high powered delegation to congratulate him at his office. The Branch also donated a consignment of megaphones, to help the NPP reach out to the all Ghanaians with its crucial policies, aimed at bringing back smiles unto the people’s faces.

The visit was planned by the Branch Chairman, Kwame Abrefah and his Steering Team, funded and made possible by Members of the Branch Executive Committee. Indeed, the Branch expects to do much more to support the party to win in 2016.

Nana Akufo-Addo and his Running-Mate Dr. Bawumia received the delegation, which extended formal invitation to Nana Akufo-Addo to visit Canada again, before the elections.

The six-member delegation was led by Christian Akyempon, 1st Vice-Chairman of the Branch and also Chairman of the Branch’s Toronto Chapter. Others included Dr. David Boadi, Chairman of the Calgary Chapter, and Nana Duah, Chairman of the Branch Council of Elders. The delegation also included Edwin Abakah Williams, Canada’s Representative on International Branches’ Working Group, Nana Asare, a Patron from the Toronto Chapter and Frank Asiedu Bekoe, a key Member of the Vancouver Chapter.

The delegation told the Flagbearer that the Canada Branch is currently experiencing unprecedented unity of purpose, enthusiasm, optimism and was determined to do what it takes to propel the party to achieve its key objective; an emphatic win next year, in order to put Ghana back on track.

The delegation had earlier met the National Chairman Paul Afoko, the General Secretary Kwabena Agyapong, and other National Executives at the Party’s National Headquarters, to congratulate them on their election to lead the Party. The delegation said that it trusts that the current NPP National Executive Committee, with unity of purpose, will lead the party to victory in 2016.

The delegation also met the Party’s International Affairs Director, Charles Owiredu and the Party’s Leader in Parliament, Hon. Osei Kyei Mensah-Bonsu.
