The political campaigns of the 2016 Ghanaian Presidential and Parliamentary Elections are in its final days. Wednesday, December 7, is that all-important, soon-to-be historic day.
December 7, 2016 will go down in history as the day Ghanaians voted to elect Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo as President, and Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as Vice President of the Republic of Ghana.
For the Akufo-Addo-Bawumia ticket, the December 2016 Elections would be the third attempt at the Presidency following previous attempts in 2008 and 2012.
Never in the history of Ghana has a candidate been as well groomed for the Presidency as Ghanaians have it in Nana Akufo-Addo. Son of a former President, a former Member of Parliament, a former Attorney-General and Minister of Justice, a former Minister of Foreign Affairs, twice-defeated Presidential Candidate, Nana Akufo-Addo is again asking Ghanaians to give him a chance at the presidency.
Nana Akufo-Addo has seen the workings of the Presidency up close enough to know that it is not for the timid, not for the indecisive, not for the corrupt, and certainly not for those who can’t think far. As a candidate who has experienced two previous narrow defeats, he has a deeper appreciation than most of the worth of the Presidency and the responsibilities that go with it. Perhaps, it is this deep appreciation of the enormity of the responsibilities of the Presidency that for three times in a row, he has chosen as his running-mate Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia. A highly reputable Economist, Dr. Bawumia is a former Deputy Governor of the Bank of Ghana. A presidential ticket does not get any more superbly qualified than this.
When all the talking has been done, when all the speeches have been made, when all the handshakes have taken place, what remains is that onerous duty of the Ghanaian voter to cast his or her vote in accordance with his or her aspirations for self, family and country.
Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo believes in YOU.
Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo believes in GHANA.
Ghana will work again…for ALL Ghanaians.
The battle ahead will not be easy. But that battle is not yours to fight. The Battle is still the Lord’s. Yours is to Vote for your future and that of your children.
Fellow Ghanaians, LET’s MAKE IT HAPPEN…to the Glory of God.
We believe in Ghana.
