The Chairman of the New Patriotic Party in Germany, Mr Alhassan Yakubu Tali has on behalf of the Party sent a message of congratulation to Nana Akufo-Addo for the massive victory at the Super Delegate Conference last Sunday.

Speaking on a Dusseldorf-based radio station on Monday, Mr Yakubu Tali noted that Nana Akufo-Addo’s emphatic victory of 80.9 percent is a clear manifestation of the overwhelming support and endorsement by the rank and file of the party.

He called on all well-meaning members of the party to rally behind Nana Akufo-Addo and the NPP to ensure victory in 2016 adding that “future generations will not forgive the NPP if we fail to win the 2016 elections.

According to him, Ghanaians are eagerly awaiting the NPP to provide an alternative government that can rescue the ailing economy from total collapse and said the NDC has for the five years demonstrated that it is incapable of managing the affairs of the country.

He explained that under the incompetent Mahama led administration, all the economic indicators are pointing in the wrong direction including rising inflation, ever-growing national debt, falling currency and declining economic growth.

Mr Yakubu Tali said “it is now clear that the NDC government has been a total disaster and a complete failure in the management of the economy and this has resulted in the unprecedented hardship and suffering for the majority of Ghanaians” He added that it is the rural dwellers who have borne the brunt of this massive government failure.

He noted that 2016 presents an opportunity for Ghanaians to reverse the fortunes of the country by voting for the NPP so Ghana can once again embark upon a successful journey that will transform the economy, create job opportunities for the youth and lift our people out of poverty.

This, he argued, will be in the best interest of not just the NPP but Ghana as a whole and appealed to all party supporters to stand firmly behind Nana Akufo-Addo and the current national executives to ensure a “one touch” victory in 2016.
