Nana Ampadu crowns, Kyidomhene and Gyase-hene.

Antwerp-Belgium--The Chief of Kwahu community in Belgium, Nana Ampadu Okotwerebuo 11, has enstooled 3 members of the Belgium chapter of Kwahuman Europe Association, as Kyidom-hene, Gyaase-hene, and Kronti-hene, respectively at a colorful ceremony here.

The members appointed on merits for the various positions are; A. Emmanuel Asare as Kyidomhene, with a citation for his onerous dedication and hard work in support of the group and Mr. Emmanuel Asiedu, for his humanitarian services to members of the association.


Mr. Attah Joseph was appointed Kronti-hene, for his continued voluntary services, dedication and unflinching support to members and the group: others selected for the various positions are: Mr. Daniel Akowuah, (Mrantie-hene), Mr. Ben Ayim and Mr. Derrick Opong, were appointed as Welfare officer and Public Relations Officer respectively for the Palace.


All the appointees, including the sub chiefs later had sown an oath of allegiance to Nana Ampadu Okotwerebuo Kwahu-hene of Belgium. The ceremony, which attracted large following, including Ghanaians of all walks of life and other nationals, was highlight with traditional dancing and drumming.

In his closing remarks, Nana Ampadu advised the newly installed Chiefs and Officers to continue to discharge their obligations to the society, while setting exemplary live styles worthy of emulation.


Nana Ampadu said as core leaders of the Ghanaian community, they carry on their shoulder a great responsibility to work in the interest of the people, protecting the image of Ghana, seeking the welfare and interest of members of the society and assisting to promote cultural ties between Ghana and Belgium.


He urged the Belgium Ghana community to evolve programs which will help educate members on the values of Ghanaian cultural heritage and encouraging their wards to be proud being Ghanaians and Africans.
