Ghanaians make History on New Year's Eve with Prophet Kofi Adonteng Boateng

The Divine Prayer Line closed the year 2010 with a spectacular convention in White Plains New York. The theme for this convention was GET READY. This four-day event was supposed to start on Wednesday, but many of the members had an early start on Tuesday instead. On December 29, Wednesday morning was when buses, Vans, cars, and trucks arrived with thousands of enthusiastic members from all corners of United States. Some of the passionate members committed themselves to picking up other who were arriving at the New York City's various airports from just to name a few: Australia, Germany, Holland, Ghana, and London.

The welcoming service on Wednesday evening was incredibly powerful. It was an awestruck to see people from all denominations coming under one roof for a convention. Members from Pentecost Church, Time Square church, Presbyterians, Church of Christ, Roman Catholic and such! The joy of the participants and their vehement clapping and dancing brought the hotel's ballroom down! What sealed the evening was an assertive gentleman who denounced his Islamic faith and accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal savior!

Prophet Kofi Adonteng delivered powerful devotional services three times daily throughout the convention. Many Ghanaian renowned gospel musicians were there to sing their hearts out to the Lord. Both Ms. Comfort Annoh and Nana Yaw Asare came from Ghana, Grace Dansowaa from New York, Mary Adjei from Canada, Stella Dugan-Seal, and also Eric Agyemang of Kokroko band, whose hits include Wonko menko anaa and Odo ben eni. Mr. Agyemang just changed" wonko me nko anaa" to "Yesu Christo anaa".

These talented musicians vigorously gave it all throughout the convention. Due to the exceedingly number of attendance from previous services at the crowne Plaza Ballroom, the December 31(New Year's Eve) was held at Westchester Community Center. The stadium was packed with overly enthused crowd all dressed in white. This convention brought closed to fifteen thousand in attendance. This was indeed a life changing experience for many! This is something that has never been done in any Ghanaian community outside the Ghanaian soil. This is a preview of many things God is going to do in year 2011 for his people.
