New York Based NGO Donates Computers To Two Schools

Two schools have taken delivery of 31 Pentium III and Pentium IV computers worth over 40 thousand dollars/Ghana Cedis donated by Motivational Centers International, Inc. (MCII), a New York Based Non Governmental Organization. The schools are:

St. John’s Prep. Schools Swedru

and

Eben Complex School Limited Kumasi.

The computers were sourced from Computer Aids International of London which has so far facilitated the distribution of about 100,000 computers to schools in developing countries. MCII intends to donate more computers to 2nd and 3rd cycle schools in Ghana. Dr. Gabriel Ayisi and Dr. Matthew Kuofie are the founders of the NGO.

Motivational Centers International, Inc. is a business and youth empowerment center, which was registered in the United States in June of 2002 and is headquartered in Brooklyn, New York. MCII has also been registered in Ghana since November of 2002 and has chosen Accra, Ghana, and Brooklyn, United States as the first places to benefit from its services. Organizationally, MCII is a non-profit organization (NPO) and a non-governmental organization (NGO) under tax-exempt status 501 (c) (3) of the United States Internal Revenue regulations

The mission of Motivational Centers International, Inc. is to help reduce the endemic incidence of poverty levels in the developing world, and economically depressed areas of developed countries through job creation. MCII hopes to achieve this by teaching and encouraging the educated-unemployed youth, preferably, university, polytechnic, technical and vocational college graduates how to write winning and comprehensive business plans.
