Old students donate to Asanteman

Kumasi, Nov 2, GNA - The USA branch of the Asanteman Secondary School Old Students' Association has donated 10 computers, their accessories and assorted books worth 120 million cedis to the school. They also donated three printers, a fax machine and boxes of pen to the school.

Presenting the items on behalf of the branch at a ceremony in the school in Kumasi on Monday, Mr Charles Fordjour, President of the Asanteman Old Students Association, said the computers would help promote information communication and technology education in the school.


He advised the staff and students to take good care of the computers and put them to proper use to benefit them. Mr William K. Antwi, Headmaster of the school, thanked the branch for the gesture.


He said the branch had already donated sports kits worth 24 million cedis to the school and also constructed the school's main gate at a cost of 20 million cedis.

Meanwhile, Mr Francis Kwaku Asare Mensah, an old student resident in Germany, had also presented sports kits worth 15 million cedis to the school.


The kits included football boots, jerseys, shin guards, hoses and four footballs.


He pledged his continued support to the school team to improve on their performance.
