Nkoranza (B/A) Jan. 21 GNA - The Reverend Joe Cornnel, a Minister of the Church of Christ in the United States of America has cautioned Christians to be wary of false prophets who profess to possess super powers from God to alleviate their problems. "These people have nothing to offer to the children of God as their main objective is to fleece innocent persons to amass wealth", he said at Nkoranza.

He was preaching at a three-day annual growth and leadership training programme of the Zone 'A' Area branch of the Church in Brong-Ahafo.

It was on the theme, "The Kingdom of Christ on Earth". About 800 members of the church from Nkoranza, Kintampo, Techiman, Jema and Wenchi districts attended.

Mr. Ofosu Asante, Zonal Secretary of the Church, advised members to register with the National Health Insurance Scheme for the health security of themselves and their families.

"As Christians and role models in the communities, you should lead in the educational campaign on the scheme and encourage other people to patronize it", he added.

He advised parents to reduce their huge expenses on clothing, cosmetics, alcohol and funerals and invest their resources in the education of their children.

Mr. Asante explained that the programme was aimed at rekindling members' faith to keep the purity of the church. About 20 new members were baptized.
