Tanoso citizens donate ambulance

Tanoso, (B/A), Dec.23, GNA- Tanoso Citizens of the True Christ Apostles Church International, in Italy have presented an Ambulance, a 24 inch coloured Television and a Deck and a cash of 107 million cedis to the Tanoso Health Centre in the Techiman Municipality.

Making the donation, Apostle Jacob Manu Frimpong, General Secretary of the Church said, the donation was the church widow's mite towards the promotion of health delivery in the area. Mr David D. Yaro, Techiman Municipal Co-ordinating Director thanked the Church for the donation.


Mr Yaro said the Assembly could only succeed in ensuring that health delivery was brought to the doorsteps of the people. The Co-ordinating Director hoped with the availability of the Ambulance, the Health Centre would function well.


Mr Prince Oduro-Mensah, the out-going Member of Parliament for Techiman South Constituency, through whose initiation the Ambulance was presented, pledged his support for the new MP., Mr Addai Simons to raise the Tanoso Health Centre to a District Hospital.

Mr Henry Dako Offei-Akoto, Techiman Municipal Director of Health Services, who received the keys to the Ambulance, expressed gratitude to the Church and the citizens for the gesture and assured them that the Ambulance would be properly used.


Mr Offei-Akoto said the Centre being the only Health delivery point between Techiman and Akumandan, would be well supported through health delivery cases.


Oseadeeyo Akumfi-Ameyaw IV, Omanhene of Techiman Traditional Area who presided lauded the Church for its contribution in promoting good health in the area.
