Following the unparalleled success of UK’s first ever Joint Homowo celebrations last year, the UK HOMOWO ORGANISING COMMITTEE in association with the Ghana High Commission to the UK & Ireland would like to welcome the general public to this year’s Grand Homowo Festival.
The organisations that have made a firm commitment to this event include, Gadangme Nikasem? Asafo, La Kpee, ?leshie Kpee, and Bishop T Ga Club, with other smaller organizations providing a supporting role.
The event is to be held at the TOTTENHAM GREEN LEISURE CENTRE, 1 PHILIP LANE, LONDON, N15 4JA on 29th SEPTEMBER 2012 FROM 3PM-1AM, and is to be attended by His Excellency Professor Kwaku Danso-Boafo, Ghana High Commissioner to the UK. Mantsemei and Manyemei, Elders, Wulomei from GaDangme, and Nananom UK will also be in attendance as well as other key dignitaries from Ghana, UK, Italy, and elsewhere.
The Festival will be telecast live on Obonu FM and filmed by TV Africa’s Kings and Queen’s Programme as well as Multi TV, Ghana and GTV’s forthcoming ‘Greetings from Abroad’ series.
