Kumasi, June 3, GNA - Two health facilities in the Offinso Municipality on Wednesday took delivery of drugs and other medical items running into thousands of Ghana Cedis. They are the Bonsua and Abofour health centres. They received drugs for treatment of asthma and hypertension, pain killers, urinary drainage bags, bed pans, syringes, clutches, surgical gloves, bandages and iodine. The items were donated by Mr Anim Addo Sampong, a citizen of Offinso resident in the US and Founder of the Offinsoman Green Team, an environmental non-governmental organisation. Handing the items over to the Centres at separate ceremonies, Mr Samuel Yeboah, Chairman of the Green

Team, said the gesture was meant to raise the quality of health care delivery in the area. He said improved health care was a shared responsibility and all should support the health facilities to

enhance their operations. He appealed to health workers to ensure high standards of professionalism and to treat patients with

civility. Ms Mary Agyemang, Principal Midwifery Superintendent of the Abofour Health Centre, said the

authorities were grateful for the donation and pledged to take good care the items. Ms Patience Owusu, Midwife in Charge of the Bonsua Centre, appealed to the Department of

Feeder Roads to rehabilitate the Bonsua- Wawase road to enable patients to travel to the centre to receive

treatment.
