Van Moorhouse Foundation donates to St Joseph Orphanage

The Van Moorhouse Foundation (VMF), a charity organisation founded in the UK with a branch in Ghana, has donated items to the St Joseph Orphanage Home in Jirapa, Upper West Region.

The items included Clothes, toys, shoes, books, baby foods, pampers, laundry soap, rice, sugar, oil and many other items.

The St Joseph's Orphanage in Jirapa was founded in 2004, and accepts about new born orphans from nearby hospitals and looks after them throughout childhood.

According to Mr Sam Kofi Adadey, a VMF representatives, the donation to the St Joseph Orphanage forms part of their commitment to extend its charity arm to the less privileged in society. The Van Moorhouse Foundation’s vision is to serve underprivileged people in the country, regardless of their background, religion, race, ethnicity, mental capacity, or gender.

The Foundation has also made donations to the Korle- Bu Children Hospital, Cheshire Rehabilitation Home in Kumasi, The GirlChild Ghana and would do another presentation to the Jehovah Rapha Orphanage at Suhum before the year ends.

It is the vision of the foundation to raise funds and donations from all sources to further the aims of the charity to help those who most need assistance and hope.

The nurse in charge of the St Joseph Orphanage, Matilda Dery, expressed gratitude to the VMF for the donation, and called on other corporate entities and individuals to emulate the VMF’s kind gesture.

Mr Adadey said the foundation would continue to help and support other deprived and under-served areas across the entire country.

He expressed his appreciation to the entire Team, Patrons, Trustee's, Founder and the general public for their support in making the foundation a success.
