Launch Of Ga-Adangbe Education Fund

The official launch of the Ga-Adangbe Education Fund under the Chairmanship of Nii Kpobi Tettey Tsuru, La Mantse will take place at the Windrush Millennium Centre, 70 Alexandra Road, Moss-Side from 6.30pm - 8.30pm. The launch will be foll wed by a social event which will be held at Timers restaurant, 9 Clowes street , West Gorton -Manchester


The Ga Traditional Council has established the Ga- Adangbe Educational Trust Fund for the youth in the two traditional areas. It will be officially launched in Manchester on 8th September by traditional chiefs from the Ga Traditional Council.


The delegation of Ga Chiefs led by Nii Kpobi Tettey Tsuru; La Mantse includes Nii Dodoo Nsaki 11, Otubluhum Mantse, Nii Adjetey Kraku 111; Tema Mantse; King Odaifio Welentsi 1V, Nungua Mantse and Nii Larbie Mensah 1V; Ablekuma Mantse have left for the United Kingdom.


The trip is being sponsored by Planet Consultancy Associates Ltd a UK based consultancy company and Planet Hotels Ghana Ltd. The Chiefs and delegation will meet the Lord Mayor of Liverpool and other civic leaders of the City and pay a visit to the International Slavery Museum and the Women’s Technology Centre.


The Ga Chiefs will also meet members of the \Liverpool Chamber of Commerce to discuss potential investment opportunities in the booming tourist, hotel and financial sector industry in Accra. The delegation would also have the opportunity to visit the Liverpool Waterfront Housing Development and East Manchester Regeneration Programme landmarks economic development projects, which has transformed Liverpool City and East Manchester into booming economic and technological centres.


The Chiefs would interact with members of the Ga- Adangbe community in UK and celebrate the Homowo festival in London.

The Ga Mantse”Nii Tackie Tawiah 11 is quoted as saying “ The Education Fund will transform the lives of many deprived young people in the Accra metropolis. It will also act as a catalyst for uniting the Ga- Adangbes and hopefully begin the process of economic and social transformation of the capital city off Ghana.”


The Ga Mantse paid tribute to Appiah-Danquah Kufuor CEO for Planet Hotels Ghana Ltd and Planet Consultancy Associates Ltd for his vision, foresight, drive and imagination in helping to organize and bring it to fruition. He also expressed his appreciation for the role played by His Excellency Gordon Wetherell the outgoing British High Commissioner and Gary Nicholls Press and Political Adviser, for their advice and support for the Education Fund.
