Dear friends,
On Sunday December 7, 2008 and Sunday December 28, 2008, millions of Ghanaians cast their votes and put their trust in President-elect Prof. John Atta Mills, Vice President-elect John Dramani Mahama and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) from East to West and from South to North.
“Kayayos”, “yo ke gari” borrowers, teachers, drivers, farmers, fishermen, men and women in uniform and all hard-working Ghanaian families who have been suppressed by eight years of failed and broken NPP Kangaroo policies gave our team a stronger mandate and elected the NDC Parliamentary Candidates as majority representation in Ghana’s august House of Parliament.
Together, we have brought CHANGE to Ghana starting with the REFERENDUM held on December 7, 2008 elections on eight years of Mr. John Agyekum Kufour and his NPP’s failed and broken promises.
And we are pleased to welcome President-elect Prof. John Atta Mills, as Ghana’s sixth democratically elected President after sweeping eight of the ten regions of Ghana with a commanding authority on Liberation Day December 28, 2008.
Once again, Ghanaians have proved to these Arrogant New Patriotic Party (NPP) leaders that we are not fools and we are not too stupid to think for ourselves. No one can take Ghanaians for granted and go away with it.
With your support, our National Democratic Congress (NDC) team led by President-elect Prof. John Atta Mills and the Vice President-elect John Dramani Mahama ran the strongest and most vigilant campaigns we’ve seen in a generation to break the dirty, dirty myth surrounding the arrogant New Patriotic Party (NPP) and collapsed every evil plan they hatched to publicly rape the Ghanaian people by robbing the free will of the people.
• With economic uncertainty and abject poverty in the land, hard-working families in Ghana are anxious.
• With cocaine everywhere creating “Frank the Junkies”, hard-working families in Ghana are anxious.
• With armed robbery, contract murders and general breakdown of law, order and security, hard-working families in Ghana are anxious.
• With the lack of jobs and reckless sale of public companies, hard-working families in Ghana are anxious.
• With the energy crisis disrupting normal way of life, hard-working families in Ghana are anxious.
• With Kufour gallons and no water to drink, hard-working families in Ghana are anxious.
• With schools and healthcare collapsing, hard-working families in Ghana are anxious.
• Hard-working Ghanaians are anxious about their pensions and life savings being mortgage in 419 scams.
• Hard-working Ghanaians are anxious about high petrol and kerosene prices, pair trawlers, food prices and the tough times we have gone through in the last eight years to make ends meet.
• Hard-working Ghanaians are anxious about the newly discovered oil which has already been mortgaged one of reasons why the NPP is burnt on hanging unto to power.
That’s why, with a Majority mandate in Parliament, the first item of business for President-elect Prof. John Atta Mills and his team of NDC MPs will to be to roll up their sleeves and get to work to ensure that ordinary Ghanaians who have been suppressed by last eight years of irresponsible, insensitive and failed governance are cared for, protected and provided with every opportunity to enjoy a Better Ghana promised in the NDC’s Better Ghana Manifesto irrespective of tribe, religion, political affiliation or who your father was. In the upcoming Parliament, National Democratic Congress (NDC) MPs will be in the House, day in and day out undoing eight years of rot and arrogance that has seen rubber stamping of FRAUDULENT and CRIMINAL deals like that sale of Ghana Telecom to Vodafone, Ghana Airways to a faceless Ghana International Airlines, Valco, Ghana’s already mortgaged discovered oil and many other valuable state assets looted away by NPP rogues and hangers-on.
We will like to serve notice to all those who have mercilessly exploited the good people of Ghana and sentenced them to creative suffering in the land for last eight years that, they shall be prosecuted for their reckless actions according to the rule of law so as to ensure that Ghana’s looted cake is re-distributed to every Ghanaian with no family left behind.
NDC government shall clean our streets of every “Frank the Junkie” by getting cocaine off our streets, chase armed robbers out of town to provide the security Ghana needs, reduce petrol and premix fuel prices, make healthcare, education, food and transport accessible and affordable to all Ghanaians. That's the reason why President-elect Prof. John Atta Mills and Vice President-elect John Dramani Mahama got elected by majority of Ghanaians who can’t endure four more years of arrogance and cocaine in Nana Akufo Addo’s kind of Ghana he claims “He Believes In”.
President-elect Prof John Atta Mills and Vice President-elect John Dramani Mahama will use the CHANGE WE ACHIEVED to restore dignity, pride, and respect for every Ghanaian once again.
President-elect Prof John Atta Mills and Vice President-elect John Dramani Mahama know Ghana's best days are ahead of us and the Cocaine Coast that we have now become in the last eight years shall pass.
President-elect Prof John Atta Mills and President-elect John Dramani Mahama ran this race for the teachers, nurses, doctors, drivers, our men and women in uniform, the “kayayos”, “yo ke gari” borrowers, every worker, local industries and all Ghanaians who play by the rule of law, work hard, and do what is asked of them. They deserve a government as good, caring, sensitive and an economy as strong as they are so everyone can feel it in his/her pocket and Ghanaians can go to sleep knowing they have a government.
Friends Ghana is ready, you are ready and President-elect Prof John Atta Mills and President-elect John Dramani Mahama are ready. Thank God our BEST DAYS in a BETTER GHANA are here with us.
Friends we prayed and asked God for the CHANGE WE NEED under a BETTER LEADER, President-elect Prof John Atta Mills in a BETTER GHANA where there is no NPP, NDC, CPP, DFP, DPP, PNC or tribalism and nepotism and YES WE DID. We specially thank you Tain Constituency for making CHANGE complete. We wish to warn the defeated incumbent leader Nana Akufo Addo (now official opposition leader), the New Patriotic Party (NPP) leadership, and all hired thugs who held the whole of Ghana to ransom with the aim of unleashing mayhem in Ghana to put a stop to their irresponsible plans and concede responsibly without waiting anymore valuable time of the good people of Ghana. We again wish to remind defeated incumbent leader Nana Akufo Addo (now official opposition leader), the New Patriotic Party (NPP) leadership, and all hired thugs, that nobody is above the laws of the Republic of Ghana. The earlier reality sinks deep into their Thick and Arrogant Kangaroo skulls that they have lost power and are on their way out of government in four days the better it is will be for all of us.
They are expected to start behaving just as every other civilized and law abiding Ghanaian citizen. They can be guaranteed that the State shall provide free counseling services to help them in their transition into a very long, long stay in opposition.
