George Asare Afriyie is the Assistant Secretary of APSU USA
The Old Students Association of St. Augustine's College in the United States of America (USA) has elected new executives.
Former law lecturer at the GIMPA Law Faculty and former Senior Legal Officer at the Ghana Maritime Authority, George Asare Afriyie, has been elected as the Assistant Secretary of APSU USA.
Prior to that, he was the immediate past Global Assistant Organizing Secretary of the old students association.
APSU USA, since its revitalization in 2019, has steadily gained momentum, driven by five uninterrupted congresses, regular virtual programs, and impactful volunteer campaigns.
The inaugural president, after five years of leadership, officially handed over the reins to the incoming president, Thomas Andoh, of the 1992 batch.
The august occasion was graced by Dr. Ernest Anthony Osei (APSU ‘80), Global President of APSU; Very Rev. Fr. Anthony Adawu, Chairman of the St. Augustine’s College Board of Governors; Dr. Timothy Steele-Dadzie (APSU ‘75), Chairman of the APSU USA Board of Advisors; and JoJo Entsuah (APSU ‘75), Life Patron.
The Congress Convener, Dr. Saint Anthony Amofah (APSU ‘81), formally gaveled the official business session to order.
