The Super Fraternal Organization of Ghana Secondary Schools – USA (Super-FORG USA) recently held its inaugural reunion, showcasing its commitment to fostering a united front among alumni organizations of Ghana Secondary Schools, to positively impact education in Ghana while adding value to member fraternities.

This remarkable event not only celebrated the achievements and milestones of the organization, but also aimed to officially launch the mission of positively impacting education while serving as a vital resource for its fraternities. Hence, the theme of the weekend was "Uniting For Greater Impact".

The mission of Super-FORG is to create collaborative initiatives that enhance educational opportunities and support fellow alumni organizations. Among the organization's noteworthy accomplishments are the establishment of endowment funds for member fraternities and the inauguration of Think Tanks designed to advance the collective vision.

The reunion, held from April 17 to 19, 2026, in Jessup, Maryland, featured a stellar lineup of Chair and Co-Chair Chair in the persons of Dr Richard Amankwah (University of Mines and Technology Vice Chancellor) and Dr Cynthia Sena Kpeglo-Freiku (Executive Secretary of Vice Chancellors Ghana).

Our Chair and Co-Chair chair enlightened our audience on the current challenges in Ghana's educational system, amd how Super-FORG can play a role in helping with education transformation.

The event commenced on Friday evening with a vibrant Meet and Greet at Skyvibe Restaurant & Lounge in Laurel, Maryland, where over 40 participants gathered to network and share fond memories from their alma maters.

The warmth of camaraderie was palpable as alumni from esteemed schools like GIANTS, MOBA, OLD SAINTS, ODADE3, AKORA, APPSA, SMOSA, APSU, ADISCO, YOUNG SOULS, ADEHYE3, SMOGA, AGOSA, HOLICO, AKATAKYIE, POGA, and WGHS mingled, setting the stage for an enriching weekend.

On Saturday morning, attendees enjoyed a hearty breakfast at the Holiday Inn, where vendors showcased a variety of products and services. The session included engaging presentations led by our Chair and Co-Chair, organization’s exectives, and member school executives .

The morning was skillfully moderated by MCs APPSAN Adwoa Ammisah-Robb and APSUNIAN Eddie Lassey, who facilitated discussions on pressing educational challenges in Ghana and the role of Super-Forg in addressing them. Other Moderators for Endowment Fund conversation wereSMOSAN Minnie Titus-Glover and GIANTS Lee Idun.

The evening banquet was a grand affair, attended by representatives from over 22 fraternities, all dressed in elegant attire.

The event was beautifully hosted by MCs Odade3 Kofi Opoku and Brainy Beauty Ewurabena Akiwumi, who guided guests through a night filled with inspiring speeches, the inauguration of new Think Tanks, competitve games to showcase school and generational pride, and heartfelt acknowledgments of the organizing and fundraising subcommittees.

In his remarks, our CEO Okatakyie Prof. Samuel Frimpong, challenged us to dream and pursue big dreams. He noted that “the theme, Uniting for Greater Impact, inspires our collective, cooperative, and collaborative will and impetus for greater achievements.

“We must go where no one has ever gone or will ever go”, he noted in his speech. Okatakyie Frimpong also noted that “as the globe advances into the future of automation, robotics, and intelligent systems, with AI-driven technologies, many Ghanaian students face daunting challenges”, that must be reversed.

In concluding his remarks, he also noted that “with this and many future super reunions, we are defining our strategic future. We envision a future of very well attended conventions; where some conventions will take place in Ghana with focus on these challenges; and a future where alliances and partnerships will address these challenges.”
