Gifty Araba Kwofie elected Branch Woman Organizer for NDC UK/Ireland Reading Branch

The National Democratic Congress, UK/Ireland Chapter, Reading Branch has elected Gifty Araba Kwofie as its new Branch Woman Organizer.

The announcement was made in a congratulatory release shared by the branch, celebrating her election and commitment to service within the party.

Kwofie currently serves as the Deputy Women’s Organizer for Ellembelle Constituency in the Western Region of Ghana.

However, due to her relocation to the UK, she will not be seeking re-election for the Ellembelle position in the upcoming constituency elections in October 2026.

In the official flyer bearing the NDC umbrella logo and party colors, Kwofie was presented as “Branch Woman Organizer Elect” of the Reading Branch, which operates under the UK/Ireland Chapter of the NDC.

Speaking to Daniel Kaku,, Araba Kwofie expressed profound gratitude to the NDC delegates and members in the Reading Branch for reposing trust in her.

She promised to work harder for the party and to establish strong links in Ghana for party members in the diaspora.

Party executives and members of the Reading Branch congratulated her, noting that her experience in Ghana will be a great asset to women’s mobilization and welfare programs in the diaspora.

They expressed confidence in her ability to champion women’s interests and strengthen grassroots engagement in the UK/Ireland Chapter.

The election reflects the NDC’s broader efforts in the diaspora to leverage the experience of party officers from home to build stronger structures abroad ahead of 2026 and 2028.
