NPP Japan would like to express our deepest condolences to the family and

friends of the victims of Friday's earthquake and tsunami devastation in

Japan. We hope well meaning people across the world would join hands and

resources to help Japan get back on its feet. We do have trust in Japanese

people and their government and we would do our part in rebuilding Japan.

We would also like to inform Ghanaians in Japan that due to the ongoing

power-outages, limited or suspended train services in the Tokyo area and

uncertain situation at the Fukushima Nuclear Power Plant, they should stay

calm and following news report. So far we have contacted NPP Japan member

(The “Kukudurians” ) in Japan and have inform them to contact Ghana Embassy

in Tokyo if they hear or know any Ghanaian who’s life have significantly

affected by last Fridays earthquake and would need help or should contact

NPP Japan Office. We are monitoring the situation closely.

Ghanians in Japan should note that there are false rumors circulating and

should be careful information there pass around. The Earthquake information

in English can be access from the link below. Yahoo! JAPAN Emergency

Information (English) and NHK world in

English. http://www3.nhk.or.jp/nhkworld/

There is no cause for alarm although some foreign nationals have decided to

leave the country. According to the World Health Organization (WHO)” There

is no evidence of a significant spread of radiation from Japan's crippled

nuclear plants”
