GaDangme Association in Belgium to be inaugurated

The GaDangme Association (natives from the Greater Accra Region - Ghana) in Belgium will be inaugurated on Saturday May 28 in the city Gent. The event to be hosted at Nova Centrum (St. Bernadettestraat 132-134,9000 Gent) is expected to attract a large number of people including natives of GaDangme in other parts of Europe – mostly from France, Holland and Germany . Dignitaries being invited include the Ghana Ambassador to Belgium, Ghana’s Minister for Culture, Minister for Social Welfare and the Mayor of Gent. According to the Gen. Secretary of the Association, Paul Tetteh, an elaborate programme has been lined up and will begin at 8p.m into the early hours of the morning. A statement by the Secretariat of the Association said all the dignitaries being invited will be making a speech. The ‘Klama’ Dance performers and ‘Borsue’ Dance Group will entertain participants with some local Ghanaian traditional dances and local Ghanaian dishes are on the menu. The statement further said there will be a fund-raising at the event to help with development projects in the Greater Accra Region.
