Ghana star Andre Ayew scored but it was not enough as West Ham held to a pulsating 2-2 stalemate by Crystal Palace in the Premier League.
Ayew followed up his two goals against Tottenham in midweek with a stunning strike to give West Ham a two-goal lead in the first half after Chicharito had opened the scoring.
But the Hammers conceded twice in the second half including a 96th-minute goal by Wilfred Zaha to settle for a point.
And Ayew after the game expressed his disappointment but added he was delighted to have netted again for West Ham.
He posted on Twitter: ''Gutted to not get the 3 points.Happy to get my 3rd goal in the week??lets prepare for next weekend. Thanks to our fans for their support''
