Bechem United defender Seth Sowah, who can also play as a defensive midfielder, will require a surgery after tearing his anterior cruciate ligament during the Hunters Premier League loss at Medeama.
Sunyani-based Nimdi3 FM have reported that Bechem United now need to cough up USD6,000 to enplane the defender to the United Arab Emirates where he would undergo surgery.
Sowah was withdrawn in the second-half after he suffered the injury and has been waiting to undergo the surgery to enable him set on the road to recovery.
The 24-year-old, who picked the MVP award in the 1-0 win over Techiman XI Wonders in January, could probably have to wait until mid March before undergoing the knife.
