Asante Kotoko have reached an agreement to appoint Charles Akonnor as their new coach, FootballmadeinGhana.com can confirm.
The former Black Stars captain has given his consent to a move to the Kunasi-based giants.
Akonnor was last week sent a draft of a tabled two-year deal to consider.
He has returned the draft contract raising some concerns over certain clauses.
Chief Executive Officer of Kotoko George Amoako has since referred the draft contract containing modifications being proposed by Akonnor to the club lawyers for further studies.
Barring any hitches, the club will be set to announce the appointment of the former Dreams FC and AshantiGold coach.
The Kotoko coaching job became vacant earlier this month following the resignation of Paa Kwesi Fabin.
Financial details of the tabled contract to Charles Akonnor remain concealed.
